China is not a world power in basketball even with Yeo Ming. Yeo Ming's own hope is to have a top 6 finish but even that will be difficult as China is now grouped with the US and Spanish teams.

i vote no,yao is a great player with enogh experience,i think if without yao ,chinese team will not walk too far,but i blieve yao will get weel before the olympic and he'll return chinese team!
