Reading - Jack and the Beanstalk

Reading is an important skill for students studying in English. It
is important that class activities, designed to encourage reading with
younger students, are interesting and stimulating for them as this will
help encourage them to do further reading on their own. Improving the
reading skills of students has the added benefit of increasing their
level of vocabulary and grammatical accuracy as well as increasing
overall confidence levels with the language.

The following lesson is based on a well known story (Jack and the
Beanstalk). The worksheets are designed to be used together with the
story. However the activities themselves can be used with other
stories.
