As i watched the news yesterday, lot of pregnant women plan to give their birth to their baby just on August 8. They go to hospitals for information and order beds few days before the expected date of their childbirth, or more exactly, by means of cesarean.
It's understandable that people expect Olympic baby in the Olympic year, which is considered as propitious, as Chinese traditiona indicates, while the staff in hospital complain that they bear pressure on their shoulders, on the other way, cesarean is bad for the pregnants, babies may suffer kinds of diseases later on.

It's really interesting to hear the name "Olympic baby". I think many people just want to show their love and enthusiasm for the Olympic in different ways. For me, August the 8th means quite a lot. First, the 2008 Beijing Olympic is to be held on that day. Second, it will be my wedding anniversary. What a coincidence!
