Dormitories and apartments in the community are considered two places of determination for students at universities. Advantages and disadvantages come from the comparation between the two choices. One opinion from the majority of the university students by a recent survey values freedom, comfort, privacy as the benefits that constitute ingredients to the option of living in apartments in the community. However, I would rather live in dormitories in terms of future return, establishment of connecting web and immediate path to recources.

Turn first to the phase' future return', vague apparantly, it simply means sacrifice gets invisible return. Accordingly, dormitory life obtains future benefits that apartment life doesn't share. To concede, accomodation in apartments really provides superior freedom, comfort and privacy instead of dormitory livings. It is the length of study time that you can control willingly without any disturb. It is the places of furniture, colors of walls, styles of embellishment that you can justify regardless of any forbidment and preceding settlement. It is privacy you grasp that you can say whatever you like, do whatever you do in your room for no sake of decentness, politeness and shyness.

However, the advantages brought by the apartment life lack future return, while accompanied by the accomodation in dormitories. Studying time is incontinuous with your roommate's calling, laughting, any activities in all. Adaptation to exposure to noise is indispensible for sucess and thus, you obtain it. Similarly, spaces are shared with each other that confines your domination. You may spend time deciding how to save room to split your packages and baggages into a single corner ,but meanwhile you are also learning to be considerate, caring for others. Decentness, politeness are equally essential to independence. After graduation, career is our life where being decent, polite to others is more favored. Independence shows a bit aggression that leads people apart and self- willingness reveals shortage of cooperation that are not beneficial to your future development.

Turning next to the establishment of connecting web, friends made through domitory life may share the same interest, same ideal, same characters, even same major. They confront campus matters everyday among which study occupies a crucial position. Chats about past experience, present conditons and future plans frame one's values and morals.
