One of my plans for this summer vocation is promoting my english.I think reading is really important.But,I don’t know what kind of books are useful or interesting.
So, dear friends, can you help me?should you tell me what kind of english book and newspaper are you interested in? As a matter of fact,I don’t like long books, I prefer magzine and newspaper. (*^__^*).Should you tell me more about useful magazine and newspaper to promote the ability of reading?

I like gossip magazines. They have many of these in UK. I would usually get one "Hello" magazine from my friend where you can get the latest about the celebrities and check out the fashion side of the entertainment industry. Also, seriously, I like reading it because I learn something new about English language every time! They use very short and vivid language there.

New York Times, you can subscrib a e-mail version to your address, and the best of all is that it's totally free.
I like science so there's a magazine I like a lot--that's Scientific American. This one is so difficult I have to check the terms all the time!~

yeah...ummm....i am not good at reading,so reading is my serious problem of learning my english,i don't like to read long novel in english,there are two reasons as following:1,while i was reading english long novels or newspapers,i'm afraid of words/expressions i don't understand.2,i'm not really interested of reading .can you give me some good advice please?

Um.... I normally read a few books at the same time so that when I feel bored with one book, I can switch to another. I am reading a book called "That book of perfectly useless information". It's very interesting and entertaining.
