I’ve decided to start a foreign language, but am not sure which one. I’ve short listed a few. Can anyone give me some advice?
French: I know the English like teasing the Frenchmen and vice versa, prob. due to historical reasons, but still you can’t deny the attraction of the French language. I don’t find it a “sexy” language as many do, but a beautiful language.
Spanish: I love the country, food, music and sun, and I think maybe one day when I retire I will retreat to
Chinese: I have to say that this has to do with my good friend Sarah and Johnny. They are very interested people and I’d like to know more about the exotic country and culture too. But I was told the language is very difficult, which puts me off a lil bit. After all, it’s not an alphabetical language and it’ll be a totally different zone for me.
What do you reckon?

I agree with sarah. The key to learn a language is interest.Just choose the one you like best and insist in learning it!

Personally, I recommend Spanish because there are fewer people learning Spanish,so it would be much useful. I'm learning French now,and i found it a little bit difficult because the French words must be distinguished as male or female, rather confusing. But it's entirely up to u,choose one suits your interest!
