In my blog I'd like to share some photographs with you.

Last week I went to Beijing and was hoping to take a few photographs of the Bird's Nest stadium and the Watercube.

Unfortunately it's quite difficult to get a clear view of either. I did however get a peep at the Watercube - what a magnificent building!

I decided to take a photo in the evening when the building is lit up glowing blue in the night sky.

I like the contrast in this photo between the old fence and the modern building.

I wasn't the only photographer. This guy was taking a photo with his mobile phone through the gap in the fence.

This shot was taken through a 'peep hole' in the fence. I like the framing effect of the dark fence against the blue of the Watercube. It's quite funny I felt almost like I was taking photos of something illegal, or not supposed to be seen by the public.

I hope you enjoy the photographs - please leave me your comments and I will share more photos with you.

A final thought and a note to myself - I'd better go back to Beijing when the take down the fence!
