The term made to measure (
定做的(衣服、鞋子等) is for a suit which is designed and measured up by the tailor to fit the customer.
I have owned one or two made to measure suits, but they have been not of the highest quality which is why i found myself today mixing and matching between different sized stripes on my suit.
According to some men's magazines this is a fashion no-no http://uk.askmen.com/fashion/fashiontip/46_fashion_advice.html , and so on my twenty minute walk to work I counted how many men were committing such a fashion crime (羞耻的事) It turned out in fact 268 men were doing exactly the same thing - chequered shirts with stripey trousers, green jackets with brown trousers. I wondered if you think this is a fashion crime, and what other ones have you seen?
