Christmas is just around the corner. Although I’m not a big fan of Christmas (as I think it’s so much commercialised like many other festivals), it’s difficult for me to skip the festive atmosphere everywhere around you. And today, I went to a Christmas market in central

Simple pleasures don’t come much better than a good market rummage: taking your pick from row upon row of trinkets, edible treats, antiques, endearingly naff souvenirs, bits, bobs and wonderful tat.
The artfully arranged junk can make you feel you have found something special, something you would never see in a shop that seems all the more original because of the time you have spent searching for it. Somehow such scouring feels all the more fruitful around Christmas time, when pleasurable anticipation of gift-giving and receiving is enhanced by a cheeky tipple of warmed wine.
I should tell all my friends to forget pounding the high street for Christmas presents this year and begin a walk at the Christmas markets happening around you!
